The Fundamentals of Success
Many personal development books and courses are so complicated they require you to create a spreadsheet to analyze everything you have so introspectively observed about yourself in the last 21.5 days. (That is if you can come up for air long enough to analyze it in the first place.) I’ve seen many a good man or woman get so totally bogged down studying personal development that they never actually get around to doing personal development.
If this sounds like you, and you feel like you are mired down and not making the progress you desire, maybe you just need to kick back and have a little fun and watch just how easy it is to attract better things into your life.
After all, we are all about ‘attraction’ in the network marketing business. Right?
I can’t think of anything that attracts people more than having fun. And I can’t think of anything that repels people more than an uptight stick in the mud, or a complainer, or a person who is not content or unthankful.
And let's not even talk about stress. Stress hurts our emotional and mental state and eventually spreads to the body.
So...
Take time out to enjoy life. This one tip will accelerate your success immeasurably. What do you enjoy doing? Fishing, tennis or golf? Knitting, dancing or biking? When was the last time you engaged in your favorite activity? If it’s been awhile, maybe you need to drop everything and go have a little fun.
Certainly you will have to practice discipline, set measurable and attainable goals. You will have to become better with your time management and every thing else all the volumes speak to. Even with all that in mind, don’t forget this journey is a marathon, and not a foot race. As you graciously allow yourself time to grow and develop you will attract others who are on a similar path.
If by chance a given day isn’t going particularly well, don’t let it bleed through in your conversation with others. It will only ‘attract’ more of the same. (Misery loves company.) 99% of the time anyone asks me, ‘how’s my day?’ I tell them it’s perfect regardless of what is going on.
One aspect of the law of attraction is that what you focus on expands. For example, if your focus is on paying off debt, it draws just the opposite of the desired effect. Whereas if you focus on income producing activities, you attract the resources you need to eliminate your pain. This is fundamental.
The cool thing is, once you practice this stuff awhile you create momentum. Then you really begin to see success.
There’s nothing more fun that having success and there’s nothing more successful than having fun. mw.
Finally, a quick etymological study of our word, ‘fundamental’ reveals the root of the word is ‘fun’ and according to a rare ancient text I found in the attic (wink ;), ‘damental’ means brings balance and success to life. Conclusion: Fun brings life and work into balance.
So, get out there and have some fun!
